I wanted to let you know that as Raath nears completion, I'll be putting him up for preorder. I'll post here and in the newsletter when he's up. Then on to Vyce--I've introduced him in Raath--and then? Then we'll see. Readers are loving Tarik (Tarik could use some Amazon reviews, by the way!) and I hope Raath will loved as well.

Newsletter signups are going great, which makes me a happy writer. For those of you who use gmail--check your spam, which is where gmail likes to send newsletters. 🙄

Hello and Excerpt from Raath

Hey guys, I just wanted to check in and say hello!

I've been getting some really amazing fan mail already, which is awesome for anyone, but for a new pen name it's extra special. I'm so glad you all are loving Tarik and eagerly awaiting Raath's book. Depending on the reception of this series, I will likely take it to four or even six books.

As a favor to me, would you please leave a review for Tarik if you've read and loved it?

It's such a nice day here in Ohio today--breezy and 70's--and not even the high humidity can hurt this day. I'm looking forward to Fall--but then, I'm always looking forward to Fall. The last couple of years it's been a little late in coming and warm when it gets here, but still. I love it!

Oh, I finally got my Twitter and Bookbub going, so if you're on either of those, follow me! Bookbub will give you an alert when I release a new book, just in case you miss my post here or the newsletter.

Would you like a little excerpt from Raath before I go?

And when the music swells with my voice, not one person in the audience moves. The camera turns from Raath, standing among the dead and the injured, then moves to the stands. It slides slowly down the rows, over the faces, and I see something besides bloodthirsty callousness in their eyes.

They are transfixed, their stares on their gladiator, and for a little while, they are moved. These hardened, cold, free people are moved. Something long forgotten awakens in their hearts.

And finally, Raath turns and lifts his face to me.

I let my voice trail off, and I press my palm to the wall of glass in front of me. I don’t if he can see me. Maybe just the shadow of me, but he knows I’m here, watching him. This gladiator is not going to be easy. He’s not going to be soft.

But one way or the other, he’s going to be mine.

Release Day

This pen name is so new that I have no followers yet. No mailing list subscribers--though I do have a few Instagram followers--but I'm putting this out anyway. :D

Release day for TARIK is tomorrow! August 8, 2020. *Update-- Tarik is now available. Get it here.

I really hope this series does well. I know some readers like to wait for an entire series to be available before they dive in, but please, if you use Amazon's 'look inside' feature and love what you read, don't wait for the entire series to come out before you start reading. If an author gets few sales from that first book, she's unlikely to continue with the series. Writing is a business, and it's the sole income of some authors. I haven't yet decided if I'll put the books up for preorder or will put them up as they're ready. Decisions, decisions! I usually do preorders, so maybe I'll do it a little differently this time and see how that goes.

I don't think I'll be doing Facebook, but I am now on Instagram and have also started a mailing list if you'd like to follow me on IG and subscribe to my mailing list. I would LOVE to have you.
